Jonah’s Closet

When teachers and school counselors identify a child in need of school uniforms, they can reach out to our chapter for help. Our volunteers quickly respond by providing a complete clothing kit: five uniform tops, five pairs of shorts or jeans, undergarments, and socks, so the child can attend school feeling prepared and confident. When needed, jackets, belts, and shoes are also provided. Each order is filled quickly and delivered directly to the school, ensuring no child goes without the essentials they need to learn and thrive.

Community Service Network

With the help of the community and JA life members, CSN was able to provide Christmas gifts to 96 children in Grenada County for Christmas 2025.

Our Community Service Network (CSN) allows JA to serve with other civic organizations, churches, and community-based events that focus on providing service to children throughout our community. Projects include "Stuff the Truck" School Supply and Uniform Drive, Costumes for Kids, Family Christmas Gifts, and distributing hygiene products.

Crown Club girls collected over 160 pieces of school uniform clothing and coats and over $500 in donations this year!

Crown Club

Our Crown Club functions as a chapter similar to JA itself. This group of ninth and tenth grade girls, chosen for their accomplishments, sponsor their main fundraiser, Snacks With Santa. They meet monthly and earn service hours for volunteering in our community.

Ingenues

Referred by school counselors and teachers, a group of eight to ten, fourth and fifth grade girls are mentored through a committee of active JA members. Every Friday morning throughout the school year, our members meet with these young girls to discuss different topics including health, self-care, and personal well-being that contribute to their overall self-esteem. Ingénues provides a unique opportunity for these girls to build relationships with their peers in a setting that promotes confidence and kindness to one another.

Lovin' Lunch Boxes

Lovin' Lunch Boxes Committee purchasing food to pack bags.

Students experiencing food insecurity are referred by teachers and counselors at the beginning of the school year, with additional referrals as the school year progresses. This committee meets monthly to pack bags of non-perishable foods. With the help of Crown Club, hand-written notes of encouragement are included. Bags are delivered to students at Grenada Middle School weekly. Throughout the school year, nearly 1400 nutritious food bags are provided to needy students.
